Day 1:
063:0 - Boat departs towards Cai Be. Passengers will have breakfast while enjoying the scenery on the banks. The Bassac crosses the Co Chien River then branches into the Cho Lach canal for 30 minutes meandering through the traffic of sand and rice barges, in a scenery of fruit drying facilities and wooden ship building yards. Then we will arrive in Cai Be, check-out and board a local boat for a tour of the Cai Be floating markets and view the various handicrafts on offer.
Day 2: Can Tho at noon
Board at Can Tho from the Ninh Kieu pier. You will be welcomed with a drink and introduced to the ship and crew, then check into your cabins. The boat will depart downstream along the Hau River. Lunch will be served on board while en route. The boat will tour near the Tra On floating market, the branch into the Mang Thit River towards Co Chien River. Sit back and rest on the upper deck or enjoy the open bar in a scenery of rice fields, sugar cane, and the woods on the near banks.
You will visit a village on the banks of River Mang Thit, an opportunity to appreciate the way of life and hospitality of the local inhabitants. Then it's a visit to the orchard and rice fields nearby before boarding the boat again and enjoying a drink while watching the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the Bassac is cruising along the Mang Thit River towards her anchorage point for the night near Tra On.
Day 3:
Breakfast is available from 06:30, while the ship is cruising through the Tra On floating market. The ship then departs towards Can Tho. On arrival at the Cai Rang floating market, you will transfer onto a local boat to visit the floating market, the nearby arroyos and gardens - then return to the Ninh Kieu pier. You will arrive and conclude the tour late morning.
Cancellation will be charged as follow:
- More than 7 days prior to trip departure. No charge.
- Within 7 days before arrival: 10% charge
- Within 5 days before arrival: 40% charge
- Within 3 days before arrival: 60% charge
- Within 48 hours before arrival: 100% charge
Final payment is due 2 days in advance of the tour.
These payments are due in our office or submitted online 3 days prior to the departure date. If reservations are made less than 2 days prior to departure, payment in full is required at the time of booking. If final payments are not received on time, Mekong Tours may cancel the reservation and invoke the cancellation fee.
Except if otherwise agreed by Mekong Tours, Client's payment shall be executed by cash, credit card or traveller's cheques. Except for cash payment, a service charge may apply (3% of the card holder). In cases where credit facilities have been agreed with the Client/Agent, payment shall be executed by swift or telegraphic transfer to the appropriate Mekong Tours bank account. Any bank charges levied by the sending bank relating to transfers to must be paid by the Mekong Tour Client/Agent.
Payment will be settled through our bank account at least 2 days before arrival.
Refund of Unused services
No refunds or exchange can be made in respect of accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transports or any other services which are included in the tour prices but not utilized by the tour member.
Voucher
Voucher will be issued by Mekong Tours after the booked trip is confirmed and payment is completed. A service voucher will be sent by email/fax or snail mail to passenger.
Liability and Insurance
Mekong Tours is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by passengers incurred due to delay, accidents, natural disaster, political actions and unrest must be borne by passengers. Passengers are required to have full travel insurance. Should this occur, we will endeavour to substitute suitable arrangement of similar value. Participation on any tour implies full agreement to above conditions by all parties involved.
Confirmation
All confirmations are generally confirmed by return fax or e-mail within 2 working days. In case immediate confirmation is not possible, we will inform you of the booking status at the time of reservation.

- Land transportation
- Accommodation of each passenger in a twin -share cabin, double -or twin bedded.
- 6 meals (2 Lunch -2 Dinner -2 Breakfast)
- Vietnamese coffee, tea, mineral water
- Two visits on shore or on a small skiff
- Access to all services on board
- Access to and from the board on a longboat.
- English speaking tour guide.
