Day 1: Can Tho - Cai Rang - Phong Dien - Vinh Long - My Tho
Pick up from your hotel or guesthouse. Take a 2 hour boat trip to visit the Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating markets. Roam into the villages to visit the rice paper mill and rice noodle production. Take in the surroundings while riding bicycles over the "Monkey Bridge" like a local. Keep cycling into the villages to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rural areas.
After lunch, transfer to Vinh Long, then ride the bikes around the island. It is a great chance for you to meet the local villagers and farmers. Then enjoy a wonderful boat trip through the beautiful canals, through the islands and crossing the Mekong River (upper branch) to Vinh Long town.
Then walk to see one of the very interesting and busy local markets in Vinh Long, witnessing the buying and selling of the local products, including many sorts of fresh-water fish, vegetables and tropical fruits. Then we will cross the Mekong River (lower branch) by ferry to My Tho. Check in at the hotel - with free evening for leisure.
Day 2: My Tho - Ho Chi Minh City
Breakfast served at the hotel, then take a boat trip to see the Cai Be Floating Market, with the local people selling and buying the various products of the region. After having lunch in Cai Be town, the bus will drive you to Ho Chi Minh City.
Cancellation will be charged as follow:
- More than 7 days prior to trip departure. No charge.
- Within 7 days before arrival: 10% charge
- Within 5 days before arrival: 40% charge
- Within 3 days before arrival: 60% charge
- Within 48 hours before arrival: 100% charge
Final payment is due 2 days in advance of the tour.
These payments are due in our office or submitted online 3 days prior to the departure date. If reservations are made less than 2 days prior to departure, payment in full is required at the time of booking. If final payments are not received on time, Mekong Tours may cancel the reservation and invoke the cancellation fee.
Except if otherwise agreed by Mekong Tours, Client's payment shall be executed by cash, credit card or traveller's cheques. Except for cash payment, a service charge may apply (3% of the card holder). In cases where credit facilities have been agreed with the Client/Agent, payment shall be executed by swift or telegraphic transfer to the appropriate Mekong Tours bank account. Any bank charges levied by the sending bank relating to transfers to must be paid by the Mekong Tour Client/Agent.
Payment will be settled through our bank account at least 2 days before arrival.
Refund of Unused services
No refunds or exchange can be made in respect of accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transports or any other services which are included in the tour prices but not utilized by the tour member.
Voucher
Voucher will be issued by Mekong Tours after the booked trip is confirmed and payment is completed. A service voucher will be sent by email/fax or snail mail to passenger.
Liability and Insurance
Mekong Tours is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by passengers incurred due to delay, accidents, natural disaster, political actions and unrest must be borne by passengers. Passengers are required to have full travel insurance. Should this occur, we will endeavour to substitute suitable arrangement of similar value. Participation on any tour implies full agreement to above conditions by all parties involved.
Confirmation
All confirmations are generally confirmed by return fax or e-mail within 2 working days. In case immediate confirmation is not possible, we will inform you of the booking status at the time of reservation.
